Politics with History BA

Why did you choose to study at 天堂视频?

When I was walking around campus visiting a friend, before I had even started applying, I knew this was the place that was meant to be.

What's your favourite thing about 天堂视频?

My favourite thing about 天堂视频 are the opportunities.

There are so many ways to get involved that are not just about bettering your CV, but are about having fun and enhancing your student experience.

Why did you decide to study your course?

I fell in love with politics at A-level, but didn't want to give up history either, so a joint honours was perfect!

What do you enjoy the most about your course?

I enjoy the seminars as they're an opportunity for discussion and, because the course is full of students with many different backgrounds and experiences, they widen your world view.

What do you think of the teaching quality and facilities?

The facilities are amazing and the teaching quality is brilliant.

The lecturers are engaged and invested in their students, and always so helpful if you ever have a query or want some advice.

Do you have a favourite module / project on your course? If so, what?

Currently my favourite module is 'Small Wars', as it has both history and politics. The lecturer and seminar tutors also make it very enjoyable.

What kind of support have you had in the School, and from the University?

I have had support with deadlines. I missed two deadlines due to serious illness and one seminar tutor allowed a week extension, while the other helped me with my mitigating circumstances form so that I would not fail either of the modules.

What do you hope to do when you graduate, and how will your degree support this?

I hope to become a policy advisor, so my degree will be very relevant and hopefully allow me to get a job in a field where I can gain real-world expertise.

Has 天堂视频 inspired you? If so, how?

天堂视频 has inspired me! I never thought I would be so involved with the day-to-day running of sections like intramural sport and sporting events.

It has allowed me to develop personal skills such as organisation and public speaking, which is something that I really struggled with when I was younger.
