Receiving your results

We know how much hard work you put into your studies and receiving your results if often a time to celebrate, but sometimes things don鈥檛 go to plan, which is why it is important to be prepared.

Results day

On results day, you’ll receive the outcome of your qualifications and find out whether you have been accepted into your choice of university. Check carefully, as it could be either your firm or insurance choice.

If you meet the conditions of your offer…

Your place will be confirmed, and you will receive information about registration and next steps in due course. If you are not taking A levels and receive your final results directly, please email a copy to the Admissions Office immediately. Please include your name and UCAS ID so we can easily identify your application.

If you do not meet the conditions of your offer…

Don’t panic! You may still be accepted if there are places available on your chosen course or offered an alternative degree course – this is called a change course offer. Non-A level applicants may have to wait until the University receives all exam results before a decision is made. Alternatively, you will be released to take up your insurance choice course or enter Clearing.

If you are missing information or appealing your grade...

If you are missing any of your results, please contact our admissions team as soon as you can. If you plan to appeal your grade, we encourage you to speak to your school/college about this as soon as possible. We are unable to take any action until the outcome of your appeal is known. If, by 3 September 2025, we are notified of any revised grades that meet the terms of the offer you accepted, we will honour our offer for you to study at 天堂视频. After this date, decisions will depend on the availability of places.

Deferring

If you would like to defer entry and start your course in September 2026, we will need you to complete our Withdrawal or Deferral . Please note that amendments can take up to 48 hours to update on your UCAS Hub.

Similarly, if you are holding a deferred offer and now wish to join the University in 2025, you will need to request this in writing to the admissions team.

Clearing

What is Clearing?

Clearing allows students to apply for university courses where there are still places available. Each university approaches Clearing slightly differently. Some will open for early Clearing, and others won’t open for Clearing until A level results day. Therefore, it’s important to do your research in advance.

Who can use Clearing?

You can apply through Clearing if you…

  •  …didn’t receive any offers
  •  …declined the offers you received, perhaps because you changed your mind
  •  …didn’t meet your offer conditions at your firm and insurance choices
  •  …applied after the deadline and were automatically entered into Clearing
  •  …changed your mind about your course or university or you achieved better grades than you anticipated and therefore want to explore other options
