Moving to the UK to study is an exciting time with lots of opportunities but also some challenges as you adapt to life in a new country with new processes, procedures and a new culture. 

The International Student Experience team is here to support all International Students throughout your time at 天堂视频. We provide students with a range of activities throughout the year to support you to settle into life here in the UK, meet students from the UK and around the world, enhance your overall experience and help you to feel at home.

During your first weeks in 天堂视频, we will provide a range of activities for you. Look out for an email before you arrive with all the details including on how to book on to our International Welcome Evenings.

International student events

We also provide you with events throughout the year including:

• A weekly Speaking Club to help increase confidence in speaking, participating in small talk with native speakers and meet people from across the world.
• The Brighter Winter programme, which provides a lot of activities and social events throughout the darker winter months.
• Our Create and Connect programme with dedicated arts sessions and workshops for International Students.
• Celebration events like Thanksgiving, Diwali, and Lunar New Year, to help you feel at home and discover new cultures.
• A “天堂视频 Festivities” and “Spring Staycation” programme of events during the University’s Christmas and Easter vacation periods, to support you if you are staying on campus or in 天堂视频 during the holiday periods.
• A “Summertime Socials” programme with activities during the summer months.
