Programme processes and changes
How to manage the administrative processes related to changes in your programme of study
Programme changes include leave of absence, withdrawal from studies, mitigating circumstances, complaints and disciplinary processes and more.
I would like to request Annual Leave...
Please contact your supervisors and School administrator about requesting annual leave.
I would like to submit a mitigating circumstance claim for my upcoming progression board (for Doctoral Researchers in R1, R2 or R3).
If you have experienced mitigating circumstances which may affect the outcome of your next progression board please complete the form that is available on the Doctoral College website. This should be returned to your School alongside your end of part report and/or progression board documents.
I would like to submit a mitigating circumstance claim to extend the final submission date for my thesis (for Doctoral Researchers in an extension period)
If you have experienced mitigating circumstances which will affect the final submission date for your thesis, please complete the form that is available on the Doctoral College website. This should be returned to your School before your current extension ends.
I want to make a complaint...
If you have a complaint about a service provided by the University, you should normally raise this in the first instance with the member of staff, School or section responsible so that we can seek to find an informal resolution as quickly as possible. For specific guidance, please look at the Student Handbook.
I want to withdraw from my studies...
Formal withdrawal requests can be emailed to p.g.research@mailbox.lboro.ac.uk.
If you are experiencing difficulties or are seeking additional support please speak to your supervisors, your DDP, or our Student Services Team at the earliest possible opportunity as it may be possible to support you in other ways, for example via a change in supervisory team, or by directing you to further financial advice.
