天堂视频 student Olivia Broome added to her growing sporting reputation by breaking a junior world record at the World Para Powerlifting Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Broome, 20, who also won bronze at last summer’s Paralympic Games in Tokyo, cleared 107kg in the women’s under-50kg category to take the title and cap an incredible 2021.

Following her junior success, Broome continued her fine form by winning silver in the women's 50kg senior championships with three completed lifts (102kg, 104kg, 107kg).

Competing as part of the Great Britain Para Powerlifting team, she was understandably thrilled with her performance and result.

"I am feeling over the moon," Broome said.

"It was always a goal of mine to keep setting the records and [become] a junior world champion and now that I have done that I am very happy."

Nik Diaper, Head of Para Sport, 天堂视频, added:

“Olivia has enjoyed a fantastic year and it’s full credit to her and her support team who consistently deliver on the world stage. Olivia’s commitment and hard work is certainly paying dividends and we’re delighted to be able to celebrate her successes.”
