天堂视频
天堂视频 Mathematics Education Network (LUMEN) is an innovative network designed to support teachers of mathematics in schools and colleges.
The network will provide members with completely free continuing professional development resources and events aimed at teachers of mathematics from Early Years and Primary into Secondary. This includes a series of continuing professional development videos created by academics and experts, as well as face-to-face continuing professional development events across the academic year. LUMEN focuses on practical ways of applying mathematics education research in the classroom.
LUMEN provides a chance to learn from the extensive expertise of academics from the Department of Mathematics Education at 天堂视频. LUMEN is a response to recent high-profile reports (e.g., Adrian Smith’s Department for Education review of mathematics education, 2017, and the Royal Society ‘Harnessing educational research’ report, 2018) that have highlighted the need for mechanisms to help schools and colleges make more effective use of research evidence to enhance the teaching of mathematics. LUMEN aims to enhance the quality of mathematics teaching in schools and colleges, thereby raising student attainment.
By engaging in the programme of completely free CPD resources, members will gain outstanding input into their teaching of mathematics.
