High Performance Computing (HPC) Support
The High Performance Computing service provides a computing facility in support of research activity within the University. It is run by the Research Computing team within IT Services. The service includes operating the Lovelace HPC cluster and also managing access to the Sulis Tier-2 HPC service for 天堂视频 users.
The cluster runs Linux, so you will need some familiarity with Linux shell commands. See the link below on how to use the system for more information on how to log on and interact with it.
Managing your research data and associated files
Open Research (also known as Open Science) is the practice of making research data, lab notes and other research processes and outputs freely available under terms that enable reuse, redistribution and reproduction of the research and its underlying data and methods.
Many funders (including the UKRI Research Councils) and publishers expect data with an acknowledged long-term value to be preserved and remain accessible and useable for future research. Data which supports and validates your published research should also be preserved and, where possible, should be openly accessible to other interested researchers, together with any files which explain or enable the use of data, such as lab notebooks, protocols, software and data collection instruments.
The majority of major funders have research data policies, see the data management plan pages for more details.
