IT Services is currently performing essential maintenance to upgrade the University file storage servers that host the Group Workspace service.
Group Workspace 1 (Ws1) has been successfully migrated, but additional downtime is needed to migrate to the remaining Workspaces, therefore the following Group Workspaces will be unavailable between 5:00 pm-7:00 pm on:
Wednesday 23 August
- Ws5 and Ws6
Thursday 24 August
- Ws2, Ws3, Ws4, Ws7 and Ws8

Does this affect me and how?
During the upgrades, Workspaces hosted on the affected servers will not be available until the work has been completed.
We recommend allowing post-maintenance background processes to complete overnight before resuming the use of any Workspaces. If you experience any issues accessing Workspaces after the work has been completed, please contact IT Services.
If access to a file is required whilst a Workspace is offline, we suggest taking a copy and liaising with colleagues to avoid multiple versions being created and uploaded once the Workspace is available.
