Visiting students and direct admissions
Applications for visiting students on taught and research programmes are handled by the Admissions Office and Doctoral College Office, respectively.
Taught programme applications via Admissions Office

Short/closed courses run by a School for an external partner or employer

Visiting students taking one or more modules, outside of a standard undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme

Students being admitted by a School onto a short-term research project
In the above cases a Visiting Student Application Form should be completed and signed by a relevant School representative before being sent to the Admissions Office for processing. In many cases supporting documentation is also required. Full guidance on the process and what is required can be found in the Visiting Student Guidelines for Schools.
Applications that are submitted without a School authorisation will not be processed.
The Admissions Office is also responsible for handling the admissions for the following categories of student, which have a bespoke application form and process:
