Student parking on campus
We strongly recommend that students do not bring a car to university when living in halls of residence unless for medical reasons, as there is very limited space on campus.
Who can and cannot park on campus
Student permits are not available for first year students living in halls but are available for returning students who live in halls or students who commute to university.
Students who can apply for a parking permit
- Returner students living in halls
- Students who commute to university (limited number available for students in LE11 postcode on first come first served basis)
Some students may qualify for permits issued under Exceptional circumstances.
- Medical requirements - Long term medical conditions and some short term medical conditions. Contact Student wellbeing to discuss appropriate permit options available to you and provide medical evidence.
- Elite athletes - Students with a sport scholarships or students competing at an international level (with major championship experience) - Proof of a selection/squad membership needed from a performance director at a recognised National Governing Body and will need to demonstrate that they are working towards a major competition, such as European Championships.
- Family circumstances - For short term circumstances, for example, if you are expecting to support close family for a limited time period. Longer term permits may be available for students, but are normally only considered where students needs to provide care and support to a family member on a regular basis, requiring frequent journeys, and public transport is not feasible.
- Work - Students undertaking a work placement relating to their course at 天堂视频.
