School of Social Sciences and Humanities achieves success in the Complete University Guide 2025

The School of Social Sciences and Humanities has achieved some outstanding subject rankings in the Complete University Guide 2025.

  • 1st for Communication and Media Studies
  • 3rd for Sociology
  • 5th for Social Policy
  • 7th for English
  • 7th for Geography and Environmental Science
  • Top 15 for Politics and History

The league table is based on ten measures: Entry Standards, Student Satisfaction, Research Quality, Research Intensity, Graduate Prospects – outcomes, Graduate Prospects – on track, Student-Staff Ratio, Spending on Academic Services, Spending on Student Facilities, and Continuation.
