Gain real world experience with our new Criminology master鈥檚 programme

天堂视频 School of Social Sciences and Humanities is excited to offer a new Criminology MSc for 2024 entry.

This new master’s programme is designed to allow students to develop specialist, applied knowledge about crime and its control. Through an engaging range of modules, students will begin to question traditional understandings of justice and its application in contemporary society.

Teaching on the programme is research led but student focussed, drawing upon our internationally recognised research in fields such as sexual violence, youth justice, sports criminology, psychology and the criminal justice practice. It will be taught by leading research experts from a range of criminological, sociological and psychological backgrounds with real world experience of the programme content.

Head of Criminology, Sociology and Social Policy Professor Line Nyhagen commented: “This new and innovative programme will provide students with multidisciplinary skills for working with communities, institutions, and the state. Studying with us will provide practical insights into current debates in the field of criminology, alongside transferable, employability skills which are embedded within our curriculum.”

The programme is open to holders of a 2:2 undergraduate degree in Criminology or a cognate discipline such as Law, Psychology, Sociology, Politics or Social Policy or equivalent international academic qualifications. Professional experience will be considered.
