Background
My current role is Research Associate in reconfigurable microwave systems within the Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering. Prior to this, I have undertaken innovative research with World leading industrial players such as Airbus, Thales, Meggitt, Boeing and Babcock International. I hold the degrees of PhD, MSc. in Digital Communications and BEng (Hons) in Electronics from Cranfield, 天堂视频 and Nottingham Universities, as well as being a member of the IET.
Prior to my current role, I have been involved in developing advanced sensing strategies, data and predictive analytics for engineering systems for through-life management and performance optimisation of high value assets. The focus being on the development of intelligent system technologies with embedded sensors, embedded electronics and real-time processing capability for self-health awareness, fault tolerance, failure recovery, system re-configurability and end-of-life prediction. These smart elements enable systems to adapt their operations and performance to environments that are complex, rapidly changing, and incompletely understood. I have experience of developing data driven solutions that utilise distributed sensor networks, communication protocols, signal processing, machine learning, information fusion and digital twins, as well as developing dynamic models of complex systems.
