Financial information relating to Art and Design Foundation Studies
This course has no tuition fee for UK applicants who are aged 18 years and under on 31 August in the year of entry. The University will claim tuition fees on your behalf directly from the Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).
For UK students who are over 18, the fees charged are estalished according to National Funding Agency guidelines that are dependent on your age on the 31 August in the year that your study starts. These fees are confirmed by the funding agencies in the Easter of the preceding academic year.

Funding and financial support
The UAL Level 3 Diploma in Art and Design Foundation Studies is classified as Further Education (FE) and Student Loans are reserved for students studying on Higher Education (HE) programmes only. As such, students studying this programme are not eligible for a maintenance loan.
天堂视频 offers bursaries to further education students from low-income backgrounds, studying Art and Design Foundation Studies. The scheme consists of two funds:
- The 16-19 Bursary Fund, which provides financial help for young people aged 16-19 who face barriers to staying in education. It is available to 16-19 year-olds studying at FE level in England. There are two types of bursary available:
- bursaries of £1,200 a year for the most vulnerable young people in one of the defined vulnerable groups; The bursary can be used towards the costs of studying such as travel, equipment or meals at University.
- discretionary bursaries based on individual need minimum value £500 per individual but awards may be increased later in the year if funds permit.
- The Advanced Learner Loan Bursary (students aged over 19.) The amount awarded depends on the individual student’s circumstances with a minimum value of £500 per individual, but awards may be increased later in the year if funds permit and may include learning support needs, financial hardship, childcare and residential support.
