Jiayin Guan is a Doctoral researcher focusing on inclusive design, user centred design, design for wellbeing and design for behaviour change. Jiayin has a background of Industrial Design and graduated from Tsinghua University (China) with an master's degree and a bacherlor's degree. During his master's programme, he participated in many design projects in cooperation with industry and government such as P&G, Hisense, and CRRC.
Thesis title: A New Model to Motivate Older Adults to Participate in Physical Activities
Jiayin's research aims to discover what motivates and prevents older adults to be active. The goal is to support older adults to proactively participate in physical activity, from which they can feel enjoyment so that a sustained behaviour can be formed.
Supervisors: Dr Emilene Zitkus, Professor Cees de Bont and Professor Hua Dong.
