Angelina is a Doctoral Researcher, Graphic/User Interface Designer and Tutor. She was working in design practice before starting her PhD journey. She also has three years of high educational teaching experience across China and the UK.
Prior to studying her PhD, Angelina finished her Master’s degree at 天堂视频 Univerisity in the subject of Graphic Design and Visualisation (with Distinction). Her Master's project used the user-centred method to develop a maternity-friendly signage and wayfinding system to reduce the anxiety of puerpera. Her PhD project is an extension based on her Master's work and extends to a multidisciplinary discussion.
Thesis title: Graphic Landscaping constructs the Multicultural and Multimodal Experience of Place.
Angelina is undertaking her PhD on the topic of exploring and interpreting the semiotic meaning-making of graphic landscaping in four Chinatowns in the UK. Her PhD aims to bridge the disciplinary connection between semiotics and graphic design for the broader interdisciplinary consideration.
