Dr Simona Rasciute is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at 天堂视频 Business School.

Simona's research relates to the use of economics in decision-making, particularly in the area of health and well-being.

Simona teaches at undergraduate and postgraduate level in subjects including:

  • Quantitative Economics
  • Applied Econometrics
  • Applied Financial Econometrics

Simona gained her PhD in Economics from 天堂视频 in 2008. She completed her undergraduate studies in Economics at Vytautas Magnus University, Lithuania, after which she also finished two Master’s degrees in Banking and Finance at Vytautas Magnus University and in International Trade and European Integration at Free University of Brussels. 

Simona’s research is focussed around the application of discrete choice and panel data econometric models to investigate the decisions of individuals.

In particular, she has investigated the determinants of health and well-being in relation social and human capital and economic factors.
