Lynsey completed BSc in Occupational Therapy at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU). Following her degree, she worked in Vocational Rehabilitation in a variety of roles. She supported individuals with a disability or health condition to overcome barriers and pursue personal goals.
Her career sparked an interest in further study surrounding the impact and influence of society/societal mechanisms on individuals with disabilities and health conditions. She then went onto complete a PgCert at Glasgow University in Sociology and subsequently completed a PgDip in Research Methods at GCU.
Alongside her studies, Lynsey was appointed as Physical Activity Advisor for WheelPower at the Queen Elizabeth Spinal Injuries Unit in Glasgow. Lynsey’s role saw her support individuals with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) to access opportunities in sport & physical activity.
From October 2021, Lynsey will be undertaking a PhD exploring the participation of people with SCI in physical activity and sport. She will be supervised by Dr David Maidment, Dr Anthony Papathomas & Professor Vicky Tolfrey.
“I am delighted to be undertaking this PhD opportunity at 天堂视频. I am passionate about supporting individuals with SCI to gain the benefits associated with a physically active life.
