Dr Anshuman Sharma

Dr Anshuman Sharma is an Assistant Professor specialising in Transportation Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) in Varanasi, India.
Prior to this appointment, he served as an Assistant Professor at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology in Nagpur, India and Dr Sharma also held the prestigious position of C.V. Raman Postdoctoral Fellow at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore and worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Queensland in Australia. Dr Sharma completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. He has been awarded with the prestigious Cunard Award by Transportation research Board in the year 2019.
His research interests lie in Intelligent Transportation Systems, Traffic flow theory, and Human Factors. Dr Sharma’s work focusses on advancing transportation systems through innovative research, academic contributions, and industry collaborations.
During their IAS Fellowship, Dr Sharma is collaborating with Dr Yasir Ali from the School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering.
