Cost of a child
How much does it cost to bring up a child in the 21st century? The ongoing Minimum Income Standard research provides the basis for a stable approach to estimating the additional spending that families would incur as a result of having children, if they are to maintain a minimum, socially acceptable standard of living. Since 2012, Child Poverty Action Group fund CRSP to make this calculation on an annual basis.
Similar analysis and calculations have been made about the Cost of a Child in Scotland and London.
