天堂视频鈥檚 3D printed skeleton of Richard III on display at new visitor centre
A 3D printed replica of Richard the 3rd skeleton created by the AMRG Group from 天堂视频 is now on display in the new King Richard III visitor centre in Leicester.
King Richard the 3rd ‘s skeleton, whose remains were unknown for hundreds of years, was created by transforming scans of the actual bones (Royal Leicester Infirmary) into a 3D Model. The model was then made out of polymer using selective laser sintering.
The new visitor centre is housed in the old Leicester Grammar School building at St. Martin’s Place and covers two floors of exhibition space. The exhibition is divided into three sections: dynasty, death and discovery telling different parts of King Richard III life. The Visitor Centre is open Monday to Friday 10am-4pm and Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays 10am-5pm. Advanced booking is recommended.
