Activities

Our children are busy all year around and our location on the University campus means that we can take advantage of many different activities and events.

The Nursery is very lucky to be situated on campus and we have access to the Students' Union building alongside all the amenities available within the University.

Here are some of the activities that our nursery children have enjoyed.

Sports relief day

Red Nose Day

Every year the University kindly hands over the Paula Radcliffe Athletics Stadium located just behind the nursery for the afternoon. This is a very popular event for the children, parents, staff and the Students' Union's Action volunteers.

Exploring the Fountain

The children just love the University's iconic fountain - situated close to the Nursery on the Hazlerigg Rutland lawn - and it is a regular stop on the campus walks.

Fruit Routes

Every autumn the University organises a fruit forage to collect apples from the many fruit trees on University land. The fruit forage has become an annual event as part of our curriculum to promote a healthy lifestyle. We join the student and staff landscaping and gardening society for a harvesting walk, everyone is welcome including parents and grandparents.
