Profile
Dr Reynolds research focuses on developing rapid and deployable analytical methods using mass spectrometry and ion mobility spectrometry to enhance and accelerate the analysis of multifarious sample types.
He is particularly interested in converting these methods into technologies that can be used in the field by non-expert users to speed up getting results.
Jim has previous experience of presenting science in the media. He has contributed to Channel 5 television on a documentary about the human body, guested on the BBC World Service Persian network 37 degrees programme discussing the volatile organic compounds found in Syrian Rue (Esfand) smoke and been a guest on BBC Radio Leicester twice talking about his research in forensic science.
