Criminology

Lecturer in Criminology

We welcome applications for the position of Lecturer in Criminology from committed and collegial academics with demonstrable experience in research and educational engagement at national and/or international levels who will complement and strengthen our existing research and teaching interests.

We particularly welcome applicants with the potential to extend our existing interests into key areas focused on the relationship between criminology and law, for example: crime, law and justice, criminal law, socio-legal studies, human rights and policing.

Criminology at 天堂视频 is a top Criminology programme, ranked 1st in the UK by The Guardian University Guide 2023 and in the top 10 according to the Times and Complete University Guides 2023.

We are a broad-based subject area with research and teaching excellence across Equity, Justice, Health and Inclusion. Our focus is on applied criminal justice, children/young people/families, and inequalities/poverty - addressing these issues through stakeholder engagement and social policy/practice development that enhances participation in society and health and well-being across the life course.

Lecturer in Human Geography

We welcome applications for the position of Lecturer in Human Geography from committed and collegial academics who will complement, strengthen and extend our research and teaching interests.

Applications from any relevant specialism are encouraged that can demonstrate how they will interact with, build on and develop agenda-setting geographical research and impact in Geography and Environment at 天堂视频.

A proven ability to work across themes and international boundaries will be of distinct advantage, as will be a track record of engaging with and developing innovative research methods. The postholder will be expected to deliver high-quality, research-informed teaching to ensure the very best learning experience.
