Evita Papazikou
I am a civil engineer working as a Research Associate in Transport Safety Research Centre within the School of Design and Creative Arts.
I have been actively involved in numerous national and European projects, including collaborations with industry partners, such as Ford. My work spans diverse areas, including accident causation and statistical modelling, driver assessment, monitoring and behaviour analysis, application of methods to future mobility and automation, the fusion of mobility data (vehicle, sensors) and machine vision towards the development of new services for connected vehicles and smart cities.
From a very young age, I found inspiration in the dedication of engineers striving to make a positive impact on society across various sectors. My dream revolves around building smarter, safer and more liveable cities. I am holding a miniature car, doubling as my laptop mouse, symbolising my dedication in shaping the future of urban mobility for generations to come.
