Iteration of quasiregular mappings
Dan Nicks (Nottingham)
Quasiregular mappings on n-dimensional Euclidean space provide a natural generalisation of holomorphic functions on the complex plane. We will discuss some results and examples from the iteration theory of quasiregular mappings. This topic is guided by the well-established theory of complex dynamics; that is, iteration of holomorphic functions. The talk will introduce some ideas from complex dynamics and see how far they can be carried over to the higher-dimensional quasiregular setting.
