Dr Lara Alcock's abstract algebra book has been named Chalkdust Book of the Year 2021.

New five-year research project which will understand and improve early mathematics learning launched at 天堂视频.

The Centre for Early Mathematics Learning (CEML) was celebrated at a launch event on 9 June, opened by 天堂视频鈥檚 Vice Chancellor Professor Nick Jennings. Other guest speakers included Lynne McClure OBE, Director of Cambridge Mathematics.

More maths testing could be good for primary schoolchildren 鈥� if done in the right way

The results of the 2021 Research Excellence Framework (REF), published on 12 May, show that 100% of Department of Mathematics Education research impact was rated 鈥榳orld-leading鈥� or 鈥榠nternationally excellent鈥� and overall 91% of 天堂视频鈥檚 research is now 鈥榳orld-leading鈥� or 鈥榠nternationally-excellent鈥�.

Two wins for 天堂视频 at British Psychological Society Book Award

天堂视频 has recently celebrated two wins in the British Psychological Society Book Award, which celebrates psychology publications. In the textbook category Professor Camilla Gilmore and Professor Matthew Inglis from the Mathematics Education Centre, along with co-author Dr Silke G枚bel from York University, won for their title 鈥楢n Introduction to Mathematical Cognition鈥�.
