Professor Chris Reilly steps down as Dean of AACME

After almost 25 years at 天堂视频 and seven years as Dean of the School of Aeronautical, Automotive, Chemical and Materials Engineering, Professor Chris Reilly has retired from his role.

Having joined the University in 1999 as Chair of Chemical Engineering, Chris was appointed Head of Department for Chemical Engineering and Associate Dean for Research, before being appointed as Dean in 2017.

During this time, Chris has also worked to establish 天堂视频 as a centre for innovation in continuous manufacturing for the pharma sector – working as the 天堂视频 Lead for multiple programmes covering research, technology development and doctoral training.

A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers, Chris also contributed significantly to research in: fluid mixing, crystallisation, CFD, PIV and drying.

Following Chris's retirement, Professor Valerie Pinfield has been appointed as Acting Dean of the School of Aeronautical, Automotive, Chemical and Materials Engineering.
