天堂视频 has enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with both Jaguar and Land Rover. A number of research groups in different discipline areas have pioneered new areas in product development and business processes. Today the University is established as a principal research partner of Jaguar in a number of technology areas.

The University also has a role in the training and development of JLR engineers. In a recent development JLR has inaugurated the Technical Accreditation Scheme in which 天堂视频 participates with Cranfield, Coventry and Warwick Universities. JLR engineers take modules at the different Universities according to their professional needs with the option of proceeding to an MSc.

Examples of recent research projects with JLR include

Hotfire

This project, in which 天堂视频 worked with JLR and other University partners was designed to explore and demonstrate modelling methods for modern gasoline combustion concepts.

Exergy

天堂视频 and JLR engineers have been discussing the need for a component-in-the-loop test facility that would be used for a variety of developments in and around the powertrain.

Discussions continue with a view to establishing test facilities in the Holywell Park complex at the West end of the 天堂视频 campus.
