In 1965, Professor David Brodie started his educational journey at 天堂视频 and earned a degree in Physical Education. He later pursued a MSc and a PhD in Human Sciences Research in 1980.鈥

Alumnus' star performance recognised at RAF Brize Norton Awards
Last month, Flying Officer Ryan Connor - a member of 99 Squadron who operate the C-17 Globemaster aircraft from RAF Brize Norton - was awarded the Flight Lieutenant David Lord VC DFC Memorial Award at Brize鈥檚 Recognition Awards for Valued and Outstanding Service.

Habib Hajallie, and award-winning artist and honouree on Forbes鈥 30 under 30 list 2023, is currently holding his second solo exhibition at the Attenborough Arts Centre in Leicester. 鈥楬abib Hajallie: Black Pen Portraits鈥 has been curated by fellow 天堂视频 graduate, Rebecca Wymant.

Alumnus collects OBE awarded for World War heritage work
Earlier this year, Peter Liddle was named on the King鈥檚 Birthday Honours list for services to Heritage and Public Understanding of the Experience of the two World Wars. He collected his OBE from Buckingham Palace just this month, where he met Princess Anne (pictured).

Chancellor Lord Sebastian Coe awarded with honorary doctorate title in Hungary
Alumnus and Chancellor of the University, Lord Sebastian Coe was awarded an honorary doctorate title at the Hungarian University of Sports Science based in Budapest, Hungary, earlier this month.

Ryan and Rosie Taylor-Travers met at the 天堂视频 Students鈥 Gymnastics club in 2015. They were members of the club for the entire time they were studying at 天堂视频, and they also played other sports during their time at the University.聽聽

Alumnus collaborates with singer thousands of miles away to mark Remembrance Day
Alan Robertson has been arranging and recording music during his retirement. To mark Remembrance Day this year, he has collaborated with singer, Abby Strickland 鈥 who is based in South Africa, to produce a cover of a song that was written by Owain Park for the Military Wives Choir in 2018.
